BIO

I am Esther, from the generation of '73. At the age of fourteen, I had my first set of YIJING, or Book of Changes, which I got from a Sunday paper of a well-known Spanish newspaper. It was my first contact with those brief but intense descriptions offered by each hexagram. I collected more and more information about this wonderful oracle, until I finally found, in 2006, the copy I am handling. It has no End, it is simply Eternal.

At the age of fifteen, I began to delve into the Tarot through a family friend, who used the extraordinary Dali cards. It was not until twelve years later that I decided to buy the first deck that I used regularly with my friends and family.

I am an English Philologist. I also completed my third cycle studies, "Change and Diversity in English Studies". Using the tools of literature and language, to find out the cultural roots in which every thought and social feeling is based, became a real passion and helps me to contrast patterns between different cultures and to distill the common essences that they present.

Before embarking on my foray into the Humanities, my curriculum was directed towards the Pure Sciences, going as far as the first year of Agricultural Engineering. From here I learned to understand that the scientific method provides distance in the observation of any phenomenon and that it forces to establish the precise conditions for the study of the same, which helps me to position myself in an objective place in which to analyze or meditate, without interference.

My professional career ranges from teaching to high-level executive secretarial work. I resume the professional thread interconnecting my skills and using the figure of SIBILA as a poetic license to encompass this communication project, which sees the light in 2014, but materializes in 2023.

Trying to describe in linear time the existence connected to the Universe makes me come to an idea: we are a most complex, subtle and beautiful amalgam. To establish communication with what you really are, with your true nature, as Seneca would say, is the exact key that installs you in balance and harmony, because it is precisely this communication, this language, which is connected to the Universe that surrounds and expands us.
